Update on Street Painting

The Town of Stephenville would like to advise residents that the street painting has already begun with Minnesota Drive from Route 460 to the Hospital, and the process will be continuing, weather permitting until all street painting including crosswalks are completed. Please be advised that street painting may only occur on days where there is no possibility of rain. 

Unfortunately, this year the Town’s contractor was unable to commence work at the prescribed time, primarily due to a shortage of street paint which has delayed painting across Canada.  In late June 2022, a sub-contractor with adequate paint supply, was located and has assumed the painting contract.   Furthermore, due to absence of red paint that is required for mixing colors, the pride crosswalks can’t be completed this summer.

We anticipate street painting will be completed in the next week or so and we will provide updates if this timeline changes.
