2021 Stephen Awards
The Stephen Awards honour all residents of Stephenville, Kippens, Noel's Pond and Cold Brook in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Residents can be nominated for the five competitive awards each year: Citizen of the Year; Youth of the Year; Junior Male and Junior Female Athletes of the Year, Senior Athlete of the Year. (age requirements apply to these categories). The Outstanding Volunteer Appreciation, which are non-competitive, will also be presented. These nominees can reside anywhere in the Bay St. George area if their volunteer work was done in the Town of Stephenville or the Town of Kippens in the nominating year. The 2021 Stephen Awards banquet will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Royal Canadian Legion.

Nomination forms are available to be download below, and also can be picked up at Debbie’s video or the Town of Kippens. Forms are to be submitted by May 4, 2022 and can be dropped off to the Town of Stephenville, the Town of Kippens or e-mailed to stephenawards@gmail.com.
Volunteer Appreciation Award (PDF)
The volunteer appreciation certificate honours the volunteer service of an individual who has gone the extra mile, takes initiative, and serves as a positive role model.
Youth of the Year (PDF)
The youth of the year award honours the volunteer service of a youth who has through their volunteer contributions, extracurricular activities and community involvement helped make their community a better place.
Junior Male/Female Athlete of the Year (PDF)
The junior male/female athlete of the year awards honours the volunteer service of a youth who has through their volunteerism, extracurricular activities and community involvement contributed to the development of a sport and recreation to help make their community a better place.
Senior Athlete and/or Coach of the Year (PDF)
The senior athlete and/or coach of the year award honours the service of an individual who has through their participation, volunteerism, extracurricular activities and community involvement contributed to the development of sport and recreation to help make their community a better place.
Citizen of the Year (PDF)
The citizen of the year award honours the volunteer service of an individual who has gone the extra mile, takes initiative, and serves as a positive role model within the community.
