Disc Golf
It’s golf with a frisbee and a much larger target! The 10 hole course is located in Blanche Brook park off of Mill Place in Stephenville. This sport is available to play year-round and friendly for all ages. Before you tee off, download (PDF) the Disc Golf info package which includes a score card, course map and game rules. A course map can also be found on the UDisc app.
Don’t have a disc? Contact the recreation & wellness coordinator (e-mail or call 649 6929) at the Town of Stephenville to borrow one free of charge for a week through the equipment lending program.
Bay St. George Folk Arts Council
The Bay St. George Folk Arts Council is a not-for-profit organization formed in March 2007 to promote folk art in the Bay St. George and Port au Port Peninsula areas.
Our monthly Folk Nights provide local artists and musicians with the opportunity to showcase their talents. This popular event takes place on the last Saturday of every month at Emile’s Pub, Days Inn, Stephenville, starting at 9 pm.
Newfoundland traditional music is an important part of our culture. Fiddle, mandolin and accordion sessions facilitate the learning and development of skills, playing these instruments in an informal group setting. For more details, check out our events page.

Seniors Clubs
Seniors are an integral part of the community. The Stephenville Senior Clubs offer a diverse range of programs, services and activities. Health and wellness seminars are available on a variety of topics such as nutrition, physical health and leisure fitness program. Including opportunities to gather information on social services, programs and community development.

Special Olympics
Stephenville has a well organized and exciting Special Olympics program organized by dedicated volunteers who recognize the unique gift of working with people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics sports encompass track and field, swimming, badminton and various other activities to encourage physical fitness.
