Town of Stephenville

Fireworks Regulation - Restricted dates and times.

Jennifer Brake

On November 17, 2022, the Town of Stephenville Council passed Discharging Fireworks Regulation which is now in effect. The Regulation restricts the dates and times that fireworks can be discharged.

No person shall discharge family fireworks within the boundaries of the Town except:

December 31 (New Year’s Eve) - between dusk (pm) on December 31 to 12:30 am on January 1 (New Years Day)

July 1 (Canada Day) - between dusk(pm) to 11:00pm

CONSIDER YOUR NEIGHBOURS

Does your neighbor have children or pets that can become scared upon hearing the noise discharged from fireworks?

Give a courtesy call to let them know you are planning to discharge fireworks so they can prepare children and keep pets indoors.

The complete regulation can be viewed here: Discharging Fireworks Regulation
